JCW is Wisconsin’s labor exchange used by employers to list their current job openings. It is also a free resource for resume development, online skills training, workshops, and job search tools.

The gateway to federal employment. Veterans: contact a Veteran Representatives, who are subject matter experts on completing the application process, and navigating the numerous eligibility types available to veterans. Some veterans are eligible for direct appointment for some federal positions.

Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is an “earn while you learn” program providing on-the-job training and related instruction. The employer teaches the skills of the occupation. An area technical college or private training center teaches the theoretical knowledge pertaining to the specific occupation.

Job Service is a value added partner to the Wisconsin Workforce Development system. We provide labor exchange services to businesses and jobseekers, through the many Job Centers located throughout Wisconsin and also through the Job Center of Wisconsin employment website. Local Job Service staff are available to assist by providing the following information and services:
- RJob application assistance
- RIndividual and group career exploration
- RJob seeker resource room with computer access and staff assistance available
- RLabor market information and resources for employers and job seekers
- RWorkshops to assist job seekers with resumes, interview techniques, and other work search skills
- RRe-employment services to unemployment insurance claimants
- RTechnical assistance and iaison services to employers in recruitment and workforce retention planning
